Computer Science TeacherIn Hempstead, technology and innovation are essential to student growth and engagement. We are seeking an educator who is passionate about digital literacy, creativity, and inquiry based learning, and who can help students develop foundational technology skills. The successful candidate will design engaging learning experiences that promote responsible technology use, STEAM exploration, problem solving, and research, while supporting students in typing, coding, and creative digital expression.Location: District Elementary SchoolsKey Responsibilities:Provide instruction in elementary digital literacy, including typing, research skills, and responsible technology useDesign and teach STEAM based learning experiences that support creativity, collaboration, and critical thinkingIntroduce foundational coding and computational thinking using developmentally appropriate toolsSupport project based and inquiry based learning through effective technology integrationMaintain and manage digital databases, including library book collections and shared instructional resourcesSupport access to and effective use of online research databases for staff and studentsOrganize and share digital resources to support curriculum and instruction across grade levelsDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needsCollaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to integrate technology across the elementary instructional programFoster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and explorationQualifications:Valid NY State Computer Science certificationPrior elementary instructional technology experience preferredStrong knowledge of digital literacy, instructional technology tools, and age-appropriate applicationsCompensation: ContractualClosing Date: October 27, 2026To apply, visit
