Trimen Industrial is a precision CNC machining and powder coating shop in Belgium, Wisconsin, in business since 1993. We run nearly 30 CNC machines and finish tight-tolerance aluminum and steel parts for aerospace, defense, medical, and marine customers. We're ISO 9001:2015 certified, and finishing is the last thing our parts see before they ship — so it matters.

Getting here: we're right off I-43. Approximate drive times: Port Washington 10 min, Grafton and Saukville 15 min, Cedarburg 20 min, Sheboygan and Mequon 25 min, West Bend 30 min, Milwaukee and Fond du Lac about 40–45 min.

The Role - Industrial Painter — Wet Spray & Powder Coat · Full-time, 1st/2nd shift · Belgium, WI

We're hiring an experienced painter to run our finishing operation end to end: mixing, equipment setup, masking, hanging, spraying, curing, and final inspection. This is job-shop finishing — high mix, short runs, a different part geometry every day, and customer specs that change job to job. You're the person who gets a clean, in-spec finish on a machined part the first time, without being told how.

You'll work alongside our CNC setup techs and QC team, and you'll have real say in how finishing runs: racks, fixtures, job sequencing, and materials.

What You'll Do

• Mix wet paints, primers, and topcoats to spec: ratios, catalysts, reducers, viscosity checks, pot life, and color match
• Set up, tune, and maintain spray equipment: HVLP/conventional wet guns, electrostatic powder guns, hoppers, fluid lines, booths, and the cure oven
• Plan part hanging and flow: rack and hang for full coverage, solid ground, minimal contact marks, and a steady flow through the booth and oven
• Sequence jobs by color, gloss, and cure cycle to minimize changeovers and hit ship dates
• Mask threads, bores, and tolerance surfaces on machined parts; prep surfaces (clean, degrease, blast or pretreat as required)
• Apply wet and powder coatings to drawing and customer specs: film thickness, coverage, color, gloss, and texture
• Inspect your own work: DFT gauge readings, cure checks, adhesion tests where required, and visual checks for runs, orange peel, contamination, and light coverage; rework defects
• Handle color changes, powder reclaim, and material inventory; flag reorders before you run out
• Keep the booth, guns, filters, and oven clean and running; follow PPE, respirator, SDS, and waste-handling rules
• Build racks, hooks, and masking fixtures that make the next run faster

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on industrial painting with  both wet spray and powder coat, in a production or job-shop setting
• Mixing know-how: multi-component (2K) systems, reducers, viscosity cups, pot life, and color matching
• Equipment setup: you can tune a gun, troubleshoot a powder system, set an oven profile from a TDS, and keep it all maintained
• Part hanging and flow: you plan the rack before you load it — coverage, grounding, touch points, oven throughput
• Can read drawings and finish callouts and hit spec on DFT, gloss, color, and adhesion
• Masking skills on machined parts — threads, bores, and tight-tolerance surfaces stay clean
• Can spot a defect, name the cause, and fix it
• Works independently, shows up, and takes ownership of quality and throughput
• Able to stand for a full shift, lift 50 lb, wear a fit-tested respirator, and work around heat and solvents
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

• Coating experience on aerospace, defense, or medical parts, including military and aerospace specs (MIL-PRF, AMS, CARC)
• Pretreatment experience: blast, phosphate, or chem-film (Alodine) on aluminum
• Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 shop with documented processes
• Forklift certification
